Vast Majority of Religious Americans (92%) Believe the United States Should Enter Binding Arms-Control Agreements (CISSM/PIPA/Knowlege Networks)

A very high majority of religious Americans (92%) said an agreement on “preventing the spread of nuclear weapons” was a good idea (Catholics 96%, Evangelicals 91%). For “reducing the number of nuclear weapons,” support in principle for an agreement was at 89% (Catholics 93%, Evangelicals 88%). And for an agreement on “reducing the risk of nuclear war,” support was again 92% (Catholics 95%, Evangelicals 92%).
