Targeting, Pitching & Engaging Radio Producers in Public Affairs, News and Talk Radio Programming.
This training session has been developed for both the communications staff who assist in booking and the spokespeople being placed (often one in the same) and will cover Identifying which producers should be targeted, based on market, audience, program focus, timing and other considerations; Crafting a pitch to specifically target talk radio producers’ interests. As a follow-on to this session, participants will be offered one-on-one training and interview prep to hone their interview skills and develop tactics to stay on-message with persuasive and compelling language that moves audiences, even under hostile circumstances.
