This 60 minute online training will take place online Tuesday, April 29, 2008: 2pm (EST) | 1pm (CST) | 12noon (MST) | 11am (PST)
Training Description: In a brisk hour, Communications Expert, Burt Glass (read his bio below), will cover what is meant by the often misunderstood term "brand” or “branding” and will demonstrate why it is the single most important word in directing every facet of your organization's activities.
Using a peace and security example, the training will illustrate: Why being truly different is so difficult, but so essential; Why brand work is the job of your Executive Director and your Board of Directors; Why brand work is the opposite of "spin;" How you can never really control your own brand; and How a strong brand for your organization makes your communications easier and more effective.
Featured Trainer: Burton Glass is a 20-year veteran of cause-driven communications campaigns. He is a former senior vice president at Fenton Communications, the largest communications consultancy for nonprofits, where he specialized in helping nonprofits as varied as the Prostate Cancer Foundation, the Campaign for College Opportunity and First Place for Youth, develop and deliver their messages to their most important audiences.
